As I sit here, typing this, I have the “offer packs” of two Japanese language schools on my lap. For both of these offers the deadline is the end of the month. So basically, I have to decide now if I want to go to either of these schools or take my chances with the school I have yet to have had an interview for.
I am definitely not going to go with one of these schools, despite their glossy wallet and funky headed paper, their interview was perhaps one of the stupidest experiences I have ever had and I wonder if I will ever find out quite why they decided to conduct it in the manner they did.
So now I am pondering whether I should do the other. I have been pottering around the internet trying to find reasons why I shouldn’t do it and I have found quite a few. However I have also found many reasons why I shouldn’t do any of the other so called “Eikaiwas”.
Maybe I should just swallow my pride and go for it?

No sooner have I started this blog, I hear that I have been offered jobs at two different language schools in Japan. It makes me very happy that I will almost definitely be going to Japan one way or another. I have yet to accept either offer and have another interview lined up so it is not quite certain where I will end up. Watch this space.
In other news I have edited the look of the site, not too sure of the red in the sidebar, but it will do for now.

Welcome one and all to Nippon The Bus. This is the personal website of Shaun Hickox, a happening dude. My main plan for this site is to chronicle my attempts to get to Japan as an English teacher but I will also post any old bullshit I care about at the time. At some point, details of my journey up until now will be written in the About Me page. I will also update the look of this site to something more personal, rather than the default wordpress generica.
Enjoy!
